The grey M185 is a simple travel or spare mouse built around a compact, symmetrical shape. Logitech describes suitability for either hand, optical tracking, and line-by-line scrolling. It connects through the supplied USB receiver, so a laptop needs a suitable USB port or adapter. The manufacturer advertises up to twelve months of battery operation, a conditional estimate rather than a duration we have tested. Consider it when basic cursor control matters more than an elaborate workflow. The compact shape may not suit everyone, and the receiver occupies a port that a Bluetooth mouse could leave free.
