Herman Miller Setu Chair
Setu uses the Kinematic Spine, which Herman Miller describes as two types of polypropylene controlling resistance as the user reclines. The manufacturer presents this flexing approach without requiring recline adjustments. It gives Setu a distinct place among chairs that emphasize individual tension controls. Check the exact base, arms, and dimensional configuration for the version you plan to use at a desk. A mechanism that responds automatically is still a personal preference, so compare it with a manually adjusted chair when possible. We have not evaluated sustained comfort and do not claim that the mechanism suits every body or work session.
