The Logitech M185 Wireless Mouse — Grey stands out as a basic, compact wireless mouse designed for general computer use. According to manufacturer details, its defining feature is a straightforward USB receiver connection, which enables wireless operation without complex setup (Source: https://www.logitech.com/en-us/shop/p/m185-wireless-mouse). This receiver-based connectivity is widely compatible with many desktop and laptop computers that have a standard USB port, although the documented evidence does not verify support for any specific operating systems or devices beyond the USB interface.
The mouse itself is designed to be compact and easy to transport, making it a logical fit for users seeking portability, such as students, business travelers, or anyone with limited desk space (Source: https://www.logitech.com/en-us/shop/p/m185-wireless-mouse). The official information highlights an 'either-hand' or ambidextrous shape, suggesting that it is intended for comfortable use by both right- and left-handed individuals. However, there is no supporting evidence in the current sources that discusses the size or how it may fit specific hand sizes, so shoppers with larger or smaller than average hands may not find definitive guidance from available data.
Scrolling is described as 'line by line,' which typically means the scroll wheel sends one line of input per step. This can be adequate for daily tasks but may feel slower for users who scroll through long documents or web pages regularly. There’s no supporting evidence for adjustable scroll speed, high-precision controls, or specialized buttons, so users needing advanced navigation features should consider these limitations (Source: https://www.logitech.com/en-us/shop/p/m185-wireless-mouse).
Battery life is another highlighted aspect, with the manufacturer claiming up to 12 months of use on a single battery. It’s important to note that this is an 'up to' specification, with performance likely dependent on individual usage patterns and conditions; no third-party verification or extended real-world testing has been documented (Source: https://www.logitech.com/en-us/shop/p/m185-wireless-mouse).
In terms of variant or part identification, the mouse is also known as part number 910-002225 and has a purchasing record under ASIN B004YAVF8I and the name 'Swift Grey' (Sources: https://www.springboro.org/Downloads/Expenditure%20Report%20February%202025.pdf?v=0#page=199, https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/787748-REG/Logitech_910_002225_M185_Wireless_Mouse.html). These references can help verify the correct version when shopping with different retailers or submitting purchasing requests.
There are some notable limitations in the available evidence. There is no information about detailed technical specifications (such as DPI sensitivity, weight, or wireless protocol), operating system compatibility, warranty policies, or real-world user feedback. Additionally, there are no details about pricing, availability, or included accessories. Buyers looking for these specifications or seeking hands-on usage reports will find gaps in the documented information and may need to consult additional sources outside the provided evidence.
Overall, the Logitech M185 Wireless Mouse — Grey is documented as a compact, ambidextrous wireless mouse with a simple USB receiver, line-by-line scrolling, and a manufacturer-stated long battery life. Its precise fit for specialized tasks, compatibility with specific devices, and value for money remain unverified in the current source evidence. To assess suitability for demanding or highly customized use cases, further research from other sources may be necessary.
