Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe SSD - 250GB, without heatsink

The 970 EVO Plus 250GB is an internal M.2 storage option with US retail model code MZ-V7S250B/AM. Samsung's model-specific data sheet maps the underlying MZ-V7S250 drive to that US code and documents PCIe Gen 3.0 x4, NVMe 1.3 and M.2 2280. Before purchase, check the computer service manual for the exact slot protocol, supported drive length, boot capability and thermal arrangement. A SATA M.2 slot does not become NVMe compatible because the board fits physically. The 250GB capacity suits a deliberately limited storage plan: list the operating system, applications and expected files, then reserve space for updates and working data. Nominal capacity is a manufacturer label; usable formatted storage can be lower.
